Making Pictures Of People…Dunga Brook Diary

A portrait! What could be more simple and more complex, more obvious and more profound. ~ Charles Baudelaire, 1859mother's day J1536x2048-05124 boyswimming margocake J2048x1536-10685 J2448x3264-28873 J2315x3087-119641 mh boycello leslieandadina handsomehazards hny TPTD chevyandbobbie forsaleorrent beautydeux IMG_9786 IMG_9732 IMG_0991 IMG_1711 IMG_2039 IMG_2100 IMG_2113 IMG_2380 IMG_2675 IMG_2677 IMG_2991 IMG_3020I am an iPhoneographer shooting with natural light. I document the rural life of central New York- those things that are closest to me…the flora, the fauna, the people. With people, I like to capture the portrait in a nano second, even if the sitters are posing…I wait for the moment between breaths, the second where the guard drops in order to capture the essence in front of me. iPhones are tricky in situations with movement so patience is key.
